Seek the Lord

"The lions may grow weak and hungry,
but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing." -Psalm 34:10(NIV)

I read this verse in my quiet time the other day, and when I came to it I read it at least 3 times. I really like this verse, because sometimes we get so caught up in thinking "I need more money, I need that new gadget, I need this, I need that." But God tells us if we are seeking the Lord we will lack no good thing. If we're seeking the Lord, and more money was good, God would give it to us. If that new gadget was good, if this & that were good, we would have it, if we're seeking Him. We have to trust that God will provide for us, if we seek Him, with our needs. We don't always need more money, when we do, if we're seeking the Lord, He will provide it. Four words in that verse are keywords, and we have to pay attention to them. The first three are, "seek the LORD." The last is, "good."
Seek the Lord and you will lack no good thing.
That's a promise from God.

It is Well With My Soul

This morning, for the first time in a couple weeks due to the snow, we had church, and we sang "It is well with my soul." I didn't know the story of the man who wrote it before, but our song leader told it this morning. That man's only son had died, and many things he had invested money in were burnt by the great Chicago fire. So he decided to take a vacation, and when his daughters & wife were on their way, the ship sank & only his wife survived. On the way to meet his wife, he wrote It Is Well With My Soul. If we lost almost everything like he did, is Jesus enough? Could we say it is well with my soul? Hopefully if we're saved, we could. Jesus should be enough for us, number one in our lives.
Think about it,

Snow(:

I have one question, seeing this, the perfect beauty of the snow, how could anyone not believe there is a God?
Just a thought,
