Thanksgiving

Do you believe it? I sure don't. What the heck am I talking about? (: Thanksgiving, November 25th, is 15 days away. Two weeks and one day. That means Christmas is 45 days away. Even harder to believe. Anyway, I'll get to the point. Have you counted your blessings lately? Little everyday things, things that you should be so thankful for, but take for granted just like I do? How about a house and a safe place to live? How about a bed to sleep in? How about the privilege of having 2 pillows that you've probably trained yourself not to be able to sleep without just like me? How about more than one pair of shoes? Have you thanked God lately for any of these things? Try this little challenge: every day from now until November 25th, take at least 10 minutes and pick a few things you take for granted every day, and thank God for them. Count your many blessings, name them one by one, count your many blessings see what God has done. (: You might be surprised. Have a great holiday season this year guys. Most importantly, thank God for sending his one and only Son to be born of a virgin, perform miracles only to be explained by God, die for our sins, and rise again after 3 days.
Love in Christ,
-Karlee Kay(:

  1. Karlita,
When I count my blessings I count you twice as they say. I hadn't thought of the pillows, (I have five!!!). Oh my. Thanks for reminding me of the basics, Jesus, Salvation, and hooray, the Resurrection!! Won't it be wonderful to spend Eternity together with our Lord and each other? I will take your advice and meditate on the good things that God has given me. The next 15 days should be interesting. Thanks again for you and your thoughts!!
