Oh, my. Has it been a year since...?

...we moved out of a neighborhood and into the country? since we came to pastor that little church I love so dearly? since I met those amazing people that made me feel so at home? since I made those amazing friends in that youth group that made me feel welcome? WOW.
Am I ahead of myself? Maybe a little. If you don't know already, one year ago tomorrow we moved out of my little city and into this pretty little country town, to come be the pastor's family of an amazing sweet little congregation. It doesn't feel like a year since that moving day. It doesn't feel like a year since that night I gave myself a headache wondering if the church would vote "yes" and my dad would be a pastor again, and they did. It doesn't feel like over a year since I got excited when the church asked my dad to guest preach for the first time. But it has been, and it's been a great year at that. I'm so thankful that God put us here on the little hill, one year ago tomorrow. I remember tomorrow one year ago, which was a Sunday, like it was yesterday. I remember fidgeting with the new bed I got and trying to put those dumb dresser drawers together, which still to this day get stuck. I remember my friend staying over all day helping me. I remember it all perfectly. That day, I believe was one of the very best days of my entire life.
I would definitely call myself a city girl, but I have never felt more at home in the country with my awesome church, ever. I love living in the country, it's so pretty here. I love the leaves changing and the view out my window. I love it. I love my house, and my awesome room, and my church that's right next door to me, and my area. I love it.
I guess that's the end of this story. I'm sorry for the lack of posting lately, I've been pretty busy. Hope you guys have a great week.
Love in Christ,
-Karlee Kay(:

  1. What great memories you have to cherish, and you recount them so well. You are a terrific communicator. Love to you and "The Fam."

  2. I love the view out your window too. It is so gorgeous. If you run a bar of soap along the bottom edges of your dresser drawers they shouldn't stick anymore.

  3. Haha, well E, it's actually that they're screwed in a little bit off I guess, so they just clash together sometimes, but it's not a big deal.
